How notifications work

Gromore watches the accounts, competitors, campaigns, and credits in your workspace and raises an alert when something is worth your attention. Every alert lands in the notification bell in the top bar, so you always have one place to catch up.

There are two separate settings, and it helps to keep them straight. The Notifications tab controls which events fire. The Integrations tab controls where those alerts are delivered — to the bell only, or also out to Slack or Discord. In short: Notifications = what, Integrations = where.

You will find both under Settings. Changes apply to the current workspace, so each workspace can have its own alert setup.

The alert types

Gromore can raise five kinds of alert:

Viral video — one of your tracked posts is taking off. Competitor viral — a post from an account you track as a competitor is breaking out, so you can react quickly. Posting gap — a creator you follow has gone quiet for longer than expected, which is useful for spotting drop-off. Campaign milestone — a creator campaign hits a mark worth noting. Credit warning — you are approaching your video-credit quota, a heads-up before syncing pauses.

Because virality and engagement are computed at display time from public, logged-out numbers, alerts reflect the same figures you see across the app. Newest posts can lag briefly before their view counts settle, so a fresh post may cross the threshold a little after it goes live.

Choose which events fire

Use the Notifications tab to turn each alert type on or off for your workspace. If you only care about your own viral posts and credit warnings, keep those on and switch off the rest — you decide what is signal and what is noise.

This controls whether an event is raised at all. If an event type is off here, it will not reach the bell or any connected integration.

4. 4Save your changes — new alerts follow these choices from then on.

Send alerts to Slack or Discord

By default, alerts appear in the notification bell. If you want them pushed to your team's chat as well, connect a Slack or Discord webhook in the Integrations tab. This delivery layer is a Growth or Agency feature.

Connecting is a paste-a-webhook setup, and Gromore sends a real test message when you connect so you can confirm it lands in the right channel before you rely on it. The bell keeps working regardless — integrations add a destination, they do not replace it.

1. 1Confirm your workspace is on Growth or Agency (integrations are gated to those plans).
2. 2Open Settings and go to the Integrations tab.
3. 3Add your Slack or Discord webhook URL for the channel you want alerts to reach.
4. 4Send the test message and check that it arrives in the channel.
5. 5Save the connection — enabled alert types will now be delivered there as well as to the bell.

Good to know

Credit warnings are worth acting on. Gromore hard-stops at your quota — there is no overage billing — so syncing and other credit-using features pause until your next cycle or an upgrade. The warning gives you time to plan before that happens. Your live usage and caps are always visible under Settings and Billing.

Notifications are per workspace. If you own more than one workspace, set up the alert types and integrations in each. Viewers can see the workspace but not change these settings; adjusting alert and integration settings is limited to roles that can edit.
